Some may choose to work full-time schedules and work mostly during normal business hours, while others may only accept guests one weekend a month or seasonally. Most must be on-call 24-hours a day when they have guests in case issues or emergencies arise, and they may need to meet guests at odd hours to exchange keys.

No formal education is required to become an Airbnb property manager, and many achieve success in the role with only a high school diploma. The basic requirements if you’re planning to rent out property you own is a nicely furnished home or condo with functional appliances in a desirable location. With a property people will want to rent for vacations, becoming a property manager is a simple matter of creating a listing, adding great pictures and descriptions, and providing excellent service to guests.
And though no formal education is required, postsecondary coursework can help you improve the profitability of your Airbnb property management business. Coursework in interior decorating can help you decorate your properties in ways that will demand interest; coursework in marketing can help you learn to expand your reach and secure more reservations; and coursework in business can help you learn how best to run your business, maintain records, and file any necessary tax or legal paperwork.
